Biden Reveals Conditions For Dropping Out

(PatriotsUnited.org) – Just before announcing that he was dropping out of the presidential race on Sunday, July 21st, President Joe Biden told the media what conditions would have to be met in order for him to cancel his run. Biden endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris in his letter announcing the end of his presidential campaign.

The 81-year-old’s shock admission came during an interview on July 18th. “If I had some medical condition that emerged, if somebody, if doctors came to me and said, you got this problem and that problem,” he explained. That was a huge departure from Biden’s previous dogged determination to remain in the race no matter what. Shortly after this interview, it was announced that the President had contracted COVID.

Last week he was involved in a series of major gaffes. Speaking to a NATO summit press conference in Washington D.C., his first unscripted conference with journalists in months, Biden referred to Trump as his “Vice President” and introduced Ukrainian President Zelenskyy as “President Putin.”

Significantly, Biden’s comments come after days of unprecedented and mounting pressure for him to step down, even from several of his close Democrat allies, such as Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA). There are also reported rumors that top Democrats such as former President Barack Obama, Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) are concerned about Biden’s fitness for the White House and his ability to carry out the end of his term.

Major speculation about Biden’s physical wellbeing is also ablaze, with some commentators suggesting he may have symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. These worries were bolstered by reports of a Parkinson’s expert making multiple visits to the White House and Biden’s visible physical challenges, such as stiff arms and limited hand movements, which are commonly associated with the disease.

Despite these developments, Biden’s potential exit from the race was not certain. His wife, First Lady Jill Biden, and a cadre of close advisors and handlers who have staked their careers on his presidency have been reluctant to let him bow out. Many Democrats remained concerned that Biden would be unable to defeat Trump in November’s election, but are uncertain as to who would be best to replace him as the candidate, given Vice President Kamala Harris’ poor polling with voters. Biden has endorsed Vice President Harris to take up the gauntlet in the presidential race, but her candidacy also is not set in stone until the delegates have their say at the DNC.
