(PatriotsUnited.org) – Hunter Biden could soon be in search of a new job after being stripped of his law license.
The suspension of his right to practice law in the District of Columbia came on the back of a Delaware jury recently finding him guilty of illegally owning a gun. He has already kickstarted proceedings for a new trial over his gun charges. However the decision only impacts his ability to practice law in D.C., and not elsewhere in the U.S. He is currently based in California, where in September he will also face a trial over evading the payment of some 1.4 million dollars in federal taxes between 2016 and 2019.
On Tuesday the D.C. Court of Appeals said Biden, who was accepted to the bar back in 2007, had been suspended “pending resolution” of the issue. Press claims the association’s Office of Disciplinary Counsel officially began moves aimed at suspending Biden’s license last week.
The D.C. Court of Appeals’ order said that the President’s controversial son had been found guilty of serious illegality, which had merited his removal from the bar association in the meantime. Biden’s conviction over federal gun breaches took place a fortnight ago, for which he is facing up to a quarter of a century behind bars, but could expect a lighter sentence due to it being his first conviction.
Despite it already being three-plus years on from the shocking revelations found on Hunter Biden’s laptop being exposed on the internet, unveiling financial, drug-related, and other alleged crimes, the 54-year-old had remained in good standing with the association before his recent guilty verdict. While the Yale alumnus held a Democrat-aligned legal giant Boies Schiller Flexner LLP during his father’s vice presidency, the infamous First Son does not appear to have regularly practiced law in D.C. in recent years. Meanwhile, his license to practice in Connecticut “is under an administrative suspension for failure to pay a reinstatement fee.”
